Woodland Horse Center is dedicated to the preservation of
the art and sport of riding and welcomes you to come and
enjoy the opportunity to ride. The Center is located on a 25-
acre estate eight miles north of the Capital Beltway. It is
easily accessible from Montgomery, Howard and Prince
George's Counties.
We have been serving our community for more than 30
years.

The Center has a complete program of equestrian
activities for its students:
Our grooming and working student programs are for riders of
all ages who want to learn more about grooming, tacking and
working around a barn. Students in these programs earn
extra riding time.

- dressage ring
- indoor ring
- fields for riding
- convenient trail system
The Center has a complete program of equestrian
activities for its students:
- adult and children's lessons
- adult grooming program
- working student program
- tons of out-of-class activities
- boarding
- horse sales
- fully equipped Tack Shop
- while lessons are mainly English balance seat,
western lessons are available on a limited basis for
adults only.

"Great Place": Woodland is a great place to learn how to
ride, improve your skills or have just plain fun. The horses
are well cared for. Some may not look it your first time
out, but that's because you didn't see the horse when it
came to the facility from auction or other sources. They
truely care about the horses. There has been amazing
transformations of horse and people that go to Woodland.
The instructors are top notch and are great with children.
This place is definitely for the whole family. They offer
lessons for adults, teen-agers, and even the little ones in
Pony Pals". I've been riding there for 17 years and my
daughter has grown up at the barn. They provide more
than just the experience of riding. They also teach
respect and responsibility of the horses. Kids develop
great character and confidence in themselves. I can not
begin to list all the benefits and programs Woodland has
to offer.
